I have only 1 request of you, if at all possible - I am returning to work next week, part time for that week and then full time. I would love to meet up for a coffee or a chat as finding things a little difficult at present (Not happy with body image post reduction and uplift,plus OH being tested for prostate cancer) could we make it early evening as I feel I need to meet with other like minded individuals. Hello to all you Surrey ladies (not sure if any of you will now pick up this message as it started a few wks ago)
I was diagnosed on 28/6 and had surgery on 7/7. Am due to start FEC chemo on 16/8 (after my hol). I am 42 and have three teenage children and work full time at a local College. Really missing work at the moment.
Have met another lovely lady through this site last week. Are any of you meeting up?
I am being treated at the Marsden in Sutton, which honestly feels like my second home at the moment. Been back three times to have the fluid drained from the axilla area. Flying out to Cyprus for a 2 wk holiday on Saturday.
If you have started a bit of a chat/meet up/coffee etc, would love to join in if possible. I live in Carshalton, Surrey.
Hope you are all doing OK with your current stage. I’m quite apprehensive about the chemo now.

Do hope you are all getting on ok where ever you are on your journey. A couple of us are looking to get together somewhere in Sutton. At moment trying to get a feel for numbers and availability. From my own perspective, I can manage evenings or weekend but not daytime in the week. Please can you let us know if a) you are interested and b) when would be a good time to meet?

I’m in Sutton too and being treated at the Marsden. I was diagnosed last June and had WLE, SNB, Chemo, Rads, 12 Herceptin with 5 to go and also on Tamoxifen. I would love to meet up and evenings or weekends are best for me.

I am in Walton on Thames. Diagnosed Oct 09, Mx Oct 09, followed by chemo which finished in March. No Rads (lucky !), Tripple neg (unlucky !)

I’m also being treated at the Marsden in Sutton. There is a pub at Belmont near the hospital which might make a good place to meet up for lunch on a Saturday (it isn’t too busy at that time). It is a carvery but if there is lots of interest it might be an idea to tell them in advance.Perhaps we should choose a time? Perhaps Bank Holiday Saturday?
BTW I hosting a STAWBERRY TEA PARTY FOR BCC on the 21st. Strawberries, scones and cream; ‘Guess the weight of the Cake’, quiz, bring and buy (food or wine), raffle, cups of tea… and for the really wild - glasses of wine! Anyone interested please send me a PM.

Glad this thread got going again.
Looks like a ‘very organised’ type person needs to co-ordinate (not me at the moment!) to get us all together.
I will be out of the picture for 2 weeks as flying off on holiday tomorrow.
Due to see Mr Allum today at 12.30 just to check out my problem fluid build up before I fly off. Told you the Marsden was my second home!
Not sure if it would be a good idea to get everyones personal email address then that way everyone can be emailed together (not sure if that’s possible to email multiples on this site??)
Anyway keep me involved in any arrangements - I am happy to get more involved in this when I return mid August.

Okay - I’m the “organising” type! So, why don’t we take AlexG’s suggestion and meet at the pub near the Marsden, which is called The Belmont and has plenty of parking. I can’t do the Bank Holiday weekend but can I suggest Saturday 14 August and we can arrange another date when we meet and hopefully those who can’t make the 14th could make the next date. If you can make the 14th, please send me a pm and I’ll start a list and if you can’t make the 14th but would like to meet up another time, then please pm me as well.
