Hi all

As you probably all know I was diagnosed June 06. However this isn’t about me or breast cancer.

My cousin, who did the race for life with me in June, went to see the dentist on 28th August. She went into hospital on 3rd September to have malignant lump removed from her tongue and lymph nodes from neck. Now awaiting results.

Feet haven,t touched the ground.

Does anyone know of a similar site to this that would be appropriate? I’ve looked on cancerbacup but nothing jumped out at me.

I am very sorry to hear about your cousin. This is a website you may find useful as it has lots of links to NHS etc. It is also a registered charity so information should be non biased.

i’ve had a look and read one or two histories and seen some photos and a general read. All I can say is ‘thank God mine was breast cancer’.

I know people say that breast cancer is one of the better ones to get. I didn’t believe them until now. I suddenly feel thankful this was the one I got.

My OH plays sport with a guy who was diagnosed with throat cancer. It has come back 4 times and has been successfully treated each time; he leads a very active life and works full time as a health professional.

My mum had mouth cancer and had to have a very long operation she was very brave and made a reasonable recovery, I was diagnosed with bc 6months later and she was amazed at how much help and support bc patients got by comparison.
I hope your friend does not have mouth cancer but if it should be the case and you want more info just pm me.
