Hi Rae
Just wanted to say that while I am not coming (too old at 50 I went to the secondary bc day in Birmingham last year knowing no-one and was a bit nervous about meeting others, however the day was brilliantly organised and it was fab to meet others in person.
Sure you will have a great day!

Thanks Laurie. I am nervous but good to know they are well organised.
Thought i would take the plunge

Hi!
I went last year and it was brilliant. Really informative and met some really lovely girls who I still see regularly. It was a real turning point for me to be with similar aged girls going through the same thing and I learned lots and lots of useful info and got some great contacts - ended up having the surgeon and fertility expert who led the reconstruction and fertility seminars - and also had some counselling from the cancer counsellor who ran a few workshops.

Thanks - they are the 2 things i am most interested in. My reocn options and fertility.
Should be good then…great to hear positive things about it
xx
Looks like i might be there on my own then

Loads of the girls i met there didn’t use the online forums so you might not get many replies. It’s a very sociable couple of days though - so you’ll be fine. X
I’m so disappointed I can’t make it this year! Last year it took place 3 days after my second BC diagnosis, so I really wasn’t up to it, this year it takes place the week of my oophorectomy! I will try to make it next year…

Hi, I attended this last July in London & can totally recommend it. It can at the right time for me as I had not long finished my treatment & was wallowing in that @I dont know what to do now’ stage. There is a Moving Forward programme that I attended in September too which was very helpful. Enjoy!!
