Hi again, TC, nothing is too much info, for-warned is for-armed as they say" I’m like a sponge taking it all in, in preparation. I was told to have my flu jab a couple of weeks before chemo, tried to ring my surgery to book lunch time today, but it was closed!!! What’s all that about? Today I have had my long hair (middle of my back) cut off into a graduated Bob in readiness for the impending baldy locks look. It feels weird but my husband and kids like it, I’m still out deliberating, but needs must xxx
Ive asked to go on it but there is a big waiting list so no idea when I will get to do it sounds really good xxxx
Have you finished too bravescholor. I have my second Fec on 7th October
Hope your doing well Sarahd. How was the second one. X
So far not too bad t.c. I hope I feel even better tomorrow. Keeping a diary for last time had helped with the nausea xxxxxxx
I went to see a lovely lady at our local cancer care and we chatted for over a hour, that in its self was lovely and extremely off loading for me, anyway she booked me in a reiki course, which hopefully will help me sleep better. I have also contacted the look good feel better people but as fine one said long waiting list, but I have time. Had my first FEC chemo session this last Wednesday and do far so good, eating normally, had some mild indigestion but took my ginger ale and it cleared, and strangely last night I slept ok, this morning I have some mild nausea I’ve taken my tablets and waiting for them to kick in, then walk the dog to the woods, that helps me clear my mind. Thanks to all the lovely ladies on here I’m armed with home remedies got any thing that might rear its ugly head. Hope everyone is going ok, this is only going to make us stronger right?
Have a good day ladies, keep strong
Big hugs

Please excuse the typos ?xx
Thanks for all your massages. Please don’t worry about typos. I seem to have had the shakes since my chemo started and im using a phone keyboard. Feeling tired today so probably just pop in and read. Love to you all. Day 3 xxzx
I just got a phone call from my chemo unit- looks like I have an appointment at 4 to be shown around and bloods taken. They want to change it to 1. Didn’t even know I had one!!! I guess that means a string likelihood that I start treatment t next week ?? Xx
Morning ladies. I feel better today. Day 7 and I’m feeling more ‘me’. How people can work through this treatment I will never know!!!
I had a feeling bloods needed to be done less than a few days before treatment starts? My guess is you will be in at the start of the week. I had my bloods done a signing consent form on Wednesday and I was in on Friday morning having my first bout of it. Better to get started I think
TC - are you by any chance taking an anti sick tab called metoclopromide?
I ask because I was extremely allergic to it and after just one tablet I had uncontrollable shaking for over 14 hours! Never felt so ill in my life! (Pls don’t worry folks it’s rare to be allergic)
I’m wondering TC if you’re having a mild reaction to it…
Hi Nickie49 I’m on Domperidone but the unit are aware and have told to ring if it doesn’t go away. Best wishes to all xx Cathetine

Hey Nikki the same thing happened to me on that drug last week! It was horrendous I didn’t know what to do with my self. I got changed to a different drug cyclizine which was fine xx
Hi ladies I’ve been in metoclopramide and I’ve been fine. I think trial and error. Sounds promising ange you may get your date soon hope all you ladies are doing ok I’m on day 2 of round 2 of FEC I’m doing good had a friend round this afternoon and we have been having a giggle they seem to have reduced my steroids on this round I don’t know if it’s a mistake or not but I’m not complaining or should I ring hospital to find out? Xxx.
Afternoon ladies, I have just been to my surprise appointment and I am pleased to announce I start my chemo in 28th at least I now have a start date xx
Shazza I think I was on most of them in the end lol
Emend, granisetron & cyclizine (they swapped the metoclopromide for ondansetron which I found useless then I got the cyclizine)
I’ve heard good things about cyclazine xxxxx
Your right Sarah it is trial & error - we’re all different & you’ll find some people will breeze through it & others not so much. Just remember there’s loads of different anti-emetics so if you feel rough ask about it as there’s always something else you can try.
I would contact your team re the steroids, in my experience I had the same prescription for each dose of fec and for the T it was double the dose that I had on fec
I’ve just rung a left a message see what they say xxxxxx
