Lovely here in Bedfordshire off to a Funday to raise money for my friends son with Down syndrome, trying to get him a buggy to help him get about xxx hope everyone is feeling a little better today xxxx
I’m in Essex too Suzy. Colchester xx
I’m up in Yorkshire and just waking from a mid morning nap to the smell of bacon x x
And do you fancy some Carmia. I’m definitely going off coffee and tea xx
That sounds scary Suzy! Glad you’re feeling better and had a lovely evening last night. Hope everyone’s ok and enjoying the sunshine whatever you’re up to! Xxxx
Oh ladies I have been reading your comments today and have totally freaked myself out.
I’ve felt soooo much better this past 2 days and now I think ive overdone it. I’m so achey and tired ?
Woken in the middle of the night with incredibly itchy eye’s. Anyone else had this. Administered eye drops for dry eyes and hope it goes away. Had a great day my daughters came to see me. Still had to have a siesta for part of it though. Day 5. Xx
I did have some of the bacon but didn’t really taste it, food seems different.
Up again feeling sick, had ginger biscuits and ginger ale, gonna try and sleep a little more.
Had a decent day yesterday, won a cake at the McMillan cake and champagne thing.
I’m eating ok but this feeling of sickness is pretty bad, day six, I’m off back to bed, I really don’t know how people manage work as well as this.
Have a good day ladies
Hope everyone is as well as they can be
Big hugs x x
The itchy eyes could be your eyelashes I had one day when they were a bit itchy but it went after a day. Carmia what anti sickness tablets have you got? I have found this time round that if I start to feel sicky I have to have a little something to eat and it seems to subside. On top of my tablets. I’ve got small pots of rice pudding or a price of toast xxxxxxxxx
TurnerC I had very itchy eyes for 3 days, but put same drops as you in & it eventually went. x
Thank you lovely ladies for the tips re eye lashes. Just got to tell you about my weird chemo dream. Someone was chasing me and I was like oh go on catch me I’m too exhausted to run. How weird is that. I’m still feeling sick Carmia I did wonder about that bacon. Xxx Is there any one on week three yet. Is it true you feel a lot better? Xx
Funny dream t.c. I felt loads better on week 3. Almost normal the only reason I felt a bit weird was losing my hair. Xxx
Good to know Sarahd. Xx
Hi TC, I’m on week 3. I do feel really good. Should be starting chemo 2 on Weds but depends on Oncologist appt today. My eyes are very sticky today but still have all my eyelashes and eyebrows. Looks very strange with the almost bald head. Eating little and often. Have made fresh batch of fruit juice lollies. Drinking loads of fruit tea. Have gone off coffee, very strange for an addict. Smells also make me nauseous. Definitely changes to sense of taste. Have a great day xx
Eating does seem to help with the nausea weirdly? Roll on week 3, I’m just on domperidone now Sarah, they gave me Emend for 3 days, I do have some ondansetron which was prescribed for my partner when he had his op, I’ve been tempted but so far resisted.

Great to know Suzy. Am I the only Weirdo on here but am thankful I’m going to loose my hair. No more fiddling around with hairbrushes, dryers, rollers, colours, shaving, plucking, hair dresses. Its just one thing I can do without at the moment. Carmia I’ve also found little and often works best. I’m also cutting down on the ginger nuts though. Mega acid stomach this am. Dont get me wrong girls I want my hair to grow back. Just not those hormonal bristles on my chin xx
I’m not bothered about losing my hair either, my hair is naturally curly it’s a bit of a mare to tame into something like decent on the best of days.
More concerned about eye brows and eye lashes though.
I think this might have been one of my better days slightly better today, gonna soak in the tub now.
Not done anything though but who cares ?
Carmia x x
Afternoon ladies. I’m shattered. Had a busy day of visitors which was nice but my hips ache and I’m so uncomfortable. Need to rest this evening.
Am I the only one trying the cold cap? I wasn’t going to do it but I figure I have nothing to lose. A friend if my husband had just finished chemo for cervical cancer ad she had saved all her hair. We will see… If it goes patchy in some ways that’s worse so I’ll just shave and give up. Isn’t it awful that it is one of the side effects though- a woman’s hair is so important to her.
I’ve booked another ‘wig’ appointment just in case.
Day 6 and I’m feeling a bit better too. Although my neighbour gently put her arms round me and gave me a hug and it hurt slightly. Didn’t fancy the cold cap scaredchelle was worried the cold would give me headaches. Picked up a bit of knitting. Started it to keep my mind occupied. Can only do so much at a time though. X
I decided that I am not going to have the cold cap. I get migraines anyway so it will effect them and don’t think I can cope with those too so am not using it xx
