Don’t use ordinary mouth wash. The one you get on the unit is prescription only v good
I think I’ve done too much also Ange. Cooked a meal for my daughter and Her family and took the dogs for a walk. Its my own fault week three feeling better and fed up of being dependant so I insisted. Staying in bed today as have next chemo on Wednesday. Xx
Admiration to all you ladies with children going through this. A friend of ours has just finished her chemo and worked all the way through it. Don’t ask. Xxx
In the meantime Ange you could swill with slightly salty water with half teaspoon baking soda.
Thanks TC. Yep had my Carvery followed by a walk, enjoyed it but really tired today. Never mind will know next time. Thanks for the advice I will try it. Started taking antibiotics today all fun. Far too many tablets

Hi Peta Difflam is also the one I’ve got I didn’t know you could get it from the chemist. My unit told me to buy a baby toothbrush and toothpaste. No ulcers so far touch wood x
MadAnge Just wanted to say I had really bad mouth ulcers with FEC1, when I was also sick as dog like u. With FEC2, I wasn’t sick at all, managed to keep down more water on the day & only have a vaguely sore mouth. All the advice the others are saying is spot on, but do the mouth rinses after next chemo too, even if u don’t have them, because it can prevent them starting. Mine took c.5 days to go, but they will get better. . . just so you know they will go & you won’t necessarily get them next time. BBxx

I guess they will up my anti sickness for next time and hopefully I will get some mouth wash too. It’s is only niggly things now so I can deal with them. Thank you ladies for all the advice much appreciated xxxx

Just did a little shop for food Saturday I was driving felt lightheaded then went home. Did not join hubby and the dog for a walk that day Sunday and Minday I have done nothing. Night sweats not helping not much sleep trying a different pair of pee jee’s night windows open try anything. Bloods and PICC tomorrow.
It gets you like that Val the tiredness a bit better in week 3.

I had my fec 2 on Friday. Had a god weekend but have been totally popped since! Had a baaaaaaad night last night so hoping to catch a nap later.

Scaredchelle I’m the same as you almost second fec last Thursday and am feeling fairly well. Although had a bad night sleep - seemed like I got hardly any, must be something in the air!!! How’s your hair loss are you cold capping?

Thanks shazza. Yes I still have hair! Not much. It’s very thin and falling out in handfuls every day. Not sure how much my already thin hair can take!
Hello ladies, well what a day,my day started at half three, Richard in severe stomach pains, he had a bowel obstruction 8 weeks ago had to have emergency surgery the Monday as I had my op the Thursday, anyway this pain started the same way,so off we went with my driving him to a & e, X-rays and things done, to be told no obstruction you can go home, it was 7.30, I’m due to have my picc in at 9am we live 30 mins drive away so we stayed, got a drink then I went for picc it was absolutely fine for anyway that’s got to have it done, xrayed to ensure position and I’m done, but that I had my reikki at 12 so again had a drink and went for reikki and fell asleep, finally got home at 13.30 got to bed and can’t sleep!!! Sod’s law, gonna take pooch out I think then try again to sleep, but what a day pre chemo too, re hair mines virtually gone I did cut it really short then shave it mostly off because of fall out, but now it’s almost off I didn’t cold cap because of headaches, so tomorrow chemo no 2 good luck lovely ladies x x
Wow what a day !! How did the picc insertion go? Is it easy? Does it hurt?? I have mine booked on my next chemo day. They are doing it before xxx
