Just returned from second chemo fell better than last time. I have to inject for next five days. You don’t usually have to do this until T. But onc doesn’t want me back in hospital. Apparently can be painful xx
Hi TC. Squeeze the skin tight and rub hard with the sterets. It numbs the skin a little. It helps to inject slowly. They are not too bad. How many days have you got? I have 10 days to inject after the next chemo. Hope your side effects are much reduced this time. xx
Hi SuzyB haven’t got any steretss can you buy them at the chemist or did the unit give them to you. I’m on five apparently you are on seven when your given T second half. Ive been told they can cause pain. How are you doing have they given you pain killers. Carmia take care both Suzy and I have been there and isolation on the ward is so boring and you feel yuk. Val sorry cant comment I haven’t had the op yet. Mad Ange spots are back already but just going to ignore. Well sleepless night again buzzing on steroids I hate this bit. Yesterday people commented I looked well. Today I look like uncle Fester. Onwards and upwards 2 down 4 to go. Love to all you September ladies xxxx
Sorry TC only just seen this. I was given them by the unit. They had put about 20 in the box with the injections. I have not had any pain but was warned about bone pain in the pelvis and hip bones. Also in the shoulders and in the skull bones as well. I was very fortunate and had none. Don’t know how I’ll fare with the 10.
Carmia, be vigilant about your temperature. Don’t delay going to A/E if you need to. Things can deteriorate very quickly. Don’t get obsessive about it. Hope you have a good night’s sleep.

Morning ladies, I originally posted in September thinking I would be starting then, then I moved to October and can finally confirm I have my first chemo today, glad to get started, but also a little apprehensive. Hope all you ladies are doing ok. Keep fighting the good fight and we will get there in the end, we are all provably stronger than we realise xxx
Hi Janey. All the best for today. You can do this and we are all here to support you through every step. Only advice is to take all your meds. Ask what you can take tonight if you feel nauseous. Drink plenty and eat little and often. xx

Good luck janey, the side effects are manageable, listen to the advice, ask your questions, and take your medications, ask for mouthwash and because I now know the importance of taking your temp, get a thermometer, with you all the way love x x

Hi Ladies, it was my turn to do the overnight hospital stay 
I was feeling achy so took my temp. It started at 37.3 then after an hour it hit 37.5. Rang hospital and was told to go in. Ended up on 2 lots of antibiotics and saline am now at home with more antibiotics, mouthwash and a antibiotic for m mouth too.
All fun. Hope all the ladies having chemo today are ok and wish you all a speedy return to normal - Big hugs xxxxx

Bless ya love, I think we all go through our bad times, I had mine when I lost my hair, this journey will have ups and downs, not a thing we can do about it, except share your bad days with us we will get you through, then when we have our bad days we will lean on you my lovely, take care tomorrow is another day I hope you start to feel better x x
Ah Scardychelle and Ange so sorry for you both.
Please tell your onc everything or ring the unit they can adjust your meds. My first FEC was a nightmare but feeling a little better dare I say. Still I’m on the steroids. I know it’s a vit of a taboo subject but im on antidepressants from my doctor while going through this. I lost my younger brother aged 52 to a heart attack and my only remaining brother is going through bowel cancer. They do help bur I appreciate not for everybody. Thanks Suzy got some antiseptic wipes and the injection was painless many thanks for your offer. Onwards and upwards ladies we can do this. Love to you all xxxx
Sorry its me again cant stop thinking about you scaredchelle. I would ring unit today and have a chat you sound like me before I went Neutropleanic. I left it till the we and ended up in EAU for 4 days. The unit will get you a proper bed on a ward or Administer antibiotics in the unit. Hopefully your ok and just having a downer love xx.
Thanks TC that’s what they were worried about with me. They think I may having been developing Thrush in my mouth so have given me lots of stuff to stop it. Scaredchelle please get your self checked out if u still don’t feel well. I had people telling me I looked fine but I didn’t feel right so knew something was wrong. Take care ladies. People do tell you feel ok cos that is what they think you want to hear, but then I act like I’m ok cos that’s what I think they want to see, but I’ve started saying how I feel properly sort of warts anall scenario, mostly im suffering from nausea and tiredness, I’m hoping it disappears around day 5/6 like last time, hope your all feeling better, it will makes us stronger but sometimes we need a bit of encouragement good luck ladies x x x
Hi ladies I’m so sorry to hear that you are all having such a bad time! I hope it all gets better really soon t.c I’m not surprised you are on anti depressants! If that’s what you need to get through this awful time then grab everything you can. Ange and scaredchelle how are you feeling today? Suzey and carmia are you both ok? I’m doing ok. I have had my steroids dosage lowered and I think it’s helping. I’m hoping it will help with sleep. I’ve done some washing and some online Christmas shopping and watched a lot of crap on telly
