Anyone else had a rescheduled biopsy result

Hi
Was due to go today for results of biopsy, they rang this morning to say they want to do more tests on biopsy and come on Wednesday.
I’m freaking out, anyone else had this and outcome?

It could be that they are either waiting on her2 results, or oncotesting it, which gives a risk of likelyhood of reoccurrence and shows if chemo needed or not. I believe these test can take longer. It still could be that you have a low score or her2 negative in the end, so try not to panic. They need to be tailoring the best treatment plan for you.

Hope all hoes well tomorrow at your appointment. Ill be sending positive thoughts x

Be thinking of you tomorrow.

Waiting for results is always hard. As already said it could be extra tests or the laboratory may have staff sick or on holiday and haven’t been able to do the tests in the ‘normal’ time.

I had one set of results, which was ER+, and the other for HER2+ had to be sent to another laboratory to be tested differently, that came back 2 weeks later.

Thank you for your replies. Hope you’re all doing ok. Will give an update when I have my results.

Thank you all. Went this morning for biopsy results, unfortunately I have been diagnosed with DCIS. Surgeon said they want to biopsy another area on breast hopefully next week. If all ok he said lumpectomy and then tablets.

I’m so sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Hope the next biopsy goes ok and you get a definite plan. The waiting is always the hardest.

Sorry to hear youve been diagnosed with DCIS. Hopefully the second biopsy will then give then a clear idea for your treatment plan. We can await our plans together!. Ive been inundated with appointments today! Body ctt, bone scan & pre assessments. Hope all goes well with the second biopsy. Do they still do it with mammogram guidence?
