Hi everyone. I had a WLE and node sampling three weeks ago. It turned out I had multi-focal disease (three tumours, and DCIS and a couple satellite bits) None of this had showed up before the op. Despite this the surgeon was happy with my margins, and the plan is chemo and radiotherapy. He phoned me this morning to say that he had discussed me at the multi-disciplinary meeting and the consensus was that I should have an MRI of my breast. Sounds sensible to me, especially as I can feel “something” that I’m not happy with, and at least it will put my mind at rest. However, it has raised the possibility that my newly shaped breast, which actually looks pretty good, might yet have to go! Just wondered if anyone else has been through this and what the outcome was. Thanks to all of you for contributing to this wonderful site. Sarah.

I am back home now, I think I have to have all the scans before chemo whch starts in the new yew but not seen onc until wed so cant help you too much.
