Hi,new to site,wondering if there is anybody in this area who would love to chat or meet for a coffee.Diagnosed with BC in july 09,just completed rads and now on tamoxifen.
hi ! there are a few of us from Hampshire - having had or having rads at Southampton (I was dx in May- rads and tamoxifen) - we are within reach of Basingstoke and Winchester !

I’m in Hampshire and just started Rads at Southampton. My son’s in Dorset at uni so as chipper said can make Basingstoke, Winchester and Southampton but could also meet for a coffee on the way to see him… I was DX in June, Op in July and Aug, start Tamox hopefully begining of December.

Thanks for your messages, it’s nice to know there is people out there in the same boat.Not so tired now,but still very sore after finishing rads last week,still plastering on the aqueous cream,nearly out have to buy some more.
If you would like to meet up,winchester is ok with me.

don’t buy the aqueous - I know it’s not expensive but - you can get it on prescription or get doublebase - it’s even better. I’ve had the most tickly of boobs today and my lovely lovely doctor has given me doublebase and it’s sooo nice, absorbes well. I don’t finish Rads until 2nd week December so god knows what my boob will be like then…
I think we should meet in Winchester - ok Chipper? - Rachy will probably come aswell. Love Nero’s so how about Monday 30th Nov in the pm?? I’m coming down to Bournemouth at the end of December so I’ll meet you then aswell if you’d like… see what you make of me after Winchester! LOL

Hi I’m just south east of Salisbury and quite close to the New Forest Border I would be very interested in meeting up with ladies who live nearby. Romsey is 11 miles down the road from me. I was dx in Aug, WLE/SNB and I am currently on 13 of 15 rads. Fatigue is a bit of a problem at present but I would love to be included in any future meetings.

Think a Tuesday morning would suit me too though I am waiting to see how it pans out with my supposed return to graded working. Seeing oncology dr tomorrow so will know more about how much longer I am going to be signed off. Would ideally like to return in The New Year feel like I need some me time now.

Hello ladies
Sorry I have taken so long to reply. I have been signed off for 2 wks but return to work on Tuesday 8 December, the very day I think we were planning to meet. Maybe I can join in another time?! I normally work every morning so it’s not going to be that easy for me, however my manager is coming to see me next week to discuss a phased return to work so will let you know.
KatieF are you still having your radiotherapy at Southampton? Hope all going well for you. I’m still tired, some days seems worse than others, with on and off breast pain but no soreness.
