Hi Carol and Soo.
Looks like it’s just us at the moment.
Just to let you know Bickerdikes is a garden centre in Letchworth, it’s on the Norton Road, just past the 3 Horseshoe pub. It does have a nice cafe there. Wyvale is another garden centre on the way from Letchworth to Hitchin, on the Cambridge road. It has a cafe too but not sure what it is like. I am happy to meet anywhere though if you have another idea.
Anyway, we can confirm where and what time a bit later.
Looking forward to tomorrow

Hi Ladies
I hope you all enjoy meeting up and have a great time. Please don’t leave it a month before your next meeting because I would really love to meet others going through a similar experience to what I am.
Well as I mentioned tomorrow is my birthday and I am going to the ideal home exhibition, my poor husband is fretting as I am just 4 weeks post op after having a diep and he thinks I will collapse of exhaustion. (He doesn’t realise that spending all of his money will invigorate me and give me loads of energy)
Anyway, as mentioned, have a great time and thankyou for your birthday wishes
Deb

Hi to everyone
Sorry got carried away watching Eastenders (how sad am I) I am easy as to where to meet tomorrow either Letchworth or Hitchin - I’m sure a sat nav can get me to both places (unless it takes me to a ditch somewhere) Looking forward to meeting everyone eventually.
Deb hope you enjoy the ideal home exhibition
Sooxx
Hi again Soo and Carole.
Well it looks like it’s just us three so shall we say 11am at Bickerdikes.
The cafe is at the back of the building sort of through the shop. It should be easy to find. Not sure of the exact address but it is on Norton Road.
I am not sure how we will know each other but I will wait by the till for you. Hopefully this will work.
Debs, have a great day at the Ideal Home Show and try to resist coming home with too many gadgets. Don’t worry, we will keep this thread going so that we can all keep in touch and meet up again.
If anyone else locally wants to join us, pleas feel free.

HI Loo
So sorry I couldn’t make Friday, just as I was about to leave my Daughters school phoned to say that she had banged her ankle and that it had swollen up. I had to take her to A & E just for them to check, she’s ok though, just very badly bruised. I am very keen to meet up so will keep a look out for next one. Hope everyone is well and see you soon. xxx
Hi Carole and Everyone else.
Hope you are all ok.
Hope your daughter is ok Carole.
Hi again Soo. I had a good trip thanks.
Not sure if anyone is still interested in meeting up but if after Easter anyone wants to then we can arrange something.
Hope everyone has a Happy Easter.

Hi Soo and everyone else. Hope you all had a good Easter.
How are you all. It would be great to hear from everyone or anyone new that fancies meeting up. Day times are best for me at the moment but starting Rads soon.
There is an evening group that meets in Hitchin, it is the one you mentioned I think Carole but the dates have not worked out for me, either not well or busy.
Soo and I were hoping that the daytime meetings would be a good idea as it is good to get support from other people going through the same thing or just have a chat about anything else.
Hope we can get a few more people interested, it doesn’t have to be in Letchworth.
Soo, I will be in touch

Hi Loo and all
Does anyone want to met up this Friday (or is it too short notice) don’t mind where as I am flexible. Hope everyone is OK - Loo not sure when you told me your Rads were starting so hope we can hook up before. Had my 3rd chemo session yesterday so am now half way through (seems like only yesterday when they started) hoping all my hair will fall out know as I am tempted to shave the few scraggly bits off even though I keep getting told not to do it. My children think its quite funny because I keep tucking a few bits behind my ears the rest of it is half straight and half curly (am I normal!!!)
Hopefully we can all get together eventually.
Speak to you all soon
Soo xx
Hi Soo,
Hope you are feeling ok after your chemo.
Isn’t it great that you are halfway through. Are you on FEC? I have read that some people have so many of one sort then change to another. I didn’t, I had FEC all the way through.
Sorry but I can not make this Friday but could do something next week.
Not sure if anyone else is going to join us. It would be great if people do.
How are you apart from your hair?
Mine is starting to grow back now but still keeping it hidden at the moment. It all seems to be straight but it’s not long enough to be able to tell yet. I am feeling a lot more energetic now too.
Ayway, hope to catch up next week
Loo x
Hi Loo
Nice to hear from you and am glad your feeling more energetic (must be all that walking and tree hugging!!!) - I am feeling OK just have a tired day (usaually Mondays to Sundays - thats what I tell the family so hopefully they will contribute to household chores!!!) I thought that the chemo would be quite bad but am finding it easy just a bit time consuming though it is for the best (sometimes I feel that I should be feeling awful and down).
I am on FEC all the way through as well but a lot of people I have met at the hospital that started treatment at the same time are changing on their 4th session to different treatments.
I can do next week - let me know (I’m quite flexible on what day) it would be nice to see you again (and anyone else who would like to join us) and catch up. Please phone or leave message on site and I will check on a regular basis
Take care

Hi all,
I’m working, but could possibly make something on Tuesday afternoon. Or as I’m seeing onc at Lister on Monday morning could probably make a meet after that. Don’t know if that works for anyone else?
Eliza xx
