Hi Sukes …I live in Tamworth how u doing …being treated at Good Hope x
Hi Essie how goes itb with you glad you escaped quiclkly
Love to you all xxxxx
Hi all,
Had drain taken out on Thursday. It felt great to be free! Tired today as my friend got married yesterday so we went to the church to watch then we went to the reception, bit boring as could’nt get up and boogie but did enjoy the company and nobody treating me different as not many people knew. Seems as when people know they treat you different.
Little concerned today as the dressing seems to be coming off and I had a look and there are little yellow pockets of puss (just like zits) above the wound that is still covered in surgical tape but one is quite near to it the edge of the tape. Knowing my luck got an infection, gonna ring BCN to see if I can go to my GP rather than go to Stafford as I am back for my results on Wed and I hate the head BCN, she only seems to get me more distressed than I need to.
Here’s hoping I can go to GP.
Speak soon.

Hi Essie,
Glad u feeling better!
When I had my drains I had the same problem and had it checked out luckily no infection.
O felt the same way about the same BCN always eemes to be to ready with the tissues and it was if she wanted you to get distressed. Prefer the other one!
So Yes Get it checked out just to be safe - u dont want to end up back in hospital! We now how much u like the food!
Friday fish & chip day!!!
Anyway saw karen and gave her all my details. We will have to meet up for a coffee when you are feeling up to it.
Email me so I have your email address.
Keep us informed about your results
fingers x for wednesday!
I had my MRI results on my liver - well I have not got liver mets, they were mistaken and it is just bad scarring.
Knew those alcoholic college days would catch up with me lololo
Take care
Hugs

Mel,
Karen said she had got your number but dosey sod left them at work, so she will get them to me asap.
Glad to know I am not the only one who hates SBCN. She took my drains out and she said Do I frighten you that much? ( I was shaking) so I told her straight YES. My mom came with me and she was ready to tell her as every time I see her I end up in a mess. Somebody I know knew her when she was training and said that her bedside manner left a lot to be desired.
Feel fine in myself just a bit achy and fed up that I can’t drive and get out and about, and it’s the 6 weeks hols!
They said I may have a scan after but miss vidya said leave it with her. Glad your MRI showed no mets.
So here’s hoping they let me go to the GP’s as they are really nice.
Will keep you informed, and we will meet up for a coffee soon.

Hi everyone
Hope you don’t mind me jumping in!
I am 35 and was dx on 18th June. Had a WLE on 15th July (my 35th birthday!) and I live in Tamworth. I am being treated at Queens in Burton upon Trent.
I have being posting on here since my dx, and at last I have found ladies that are from my area…horray!!
Essie - I hope you are doing well with your recovery. Reading your thread has confirmed my worries about going back to get my results. I am hoping and praying that I get good results…clear margins and no node involvement, as I was advised at dx to have a mastcetomy with tissue expander (mainly because I’m a BRCA1 carrier) but I wasn’t ready for that. I go back on 30th.
I would love to stay in contact with ladies from our area to share experiences throughout our journeys and hopefully (energy levels permitting) get together and run/walk Race for Life, in celebration of ourselves next year.
Love to you all

Hi All,
As I had guessed I have an infection, ended up at Drs today who took one look and gave me antbiotics and said we need to keep and eye on this. GREAT! Going back Wednesday for results and just want some good news as my hubby has been told today that he is being made redundant.
Just about had enough now!
Sorry for the moan!
Essie xx
