Has anyone else suffered from nausea with taking Arimadex.
I started taking it last November and initially had stiff aching knees, hips and just about everywhere else. That gradually wore off (along with the sweats with stopping any alcohol) but for the last 6 weeks I have had ongoing nausea after eating.
I cant eat very much at a meal before I start feeling nauseous and about 1 hour after eating I feel real yukky.
I went to my GP yesterday and was precribed Cyclizine tablets to help. My concerns have been because I am diabetic and not being able to eat my blood sugar levels have been low and I feel so tired again. Ive also lost 3 kilos in 3-4 weeks because of not being able to eat. Im hoping it will pass as the aching and sweats did but I wondered if anyone else has had the same problem.

Hi Margaret,
Sorry to hear you’re having a rough time.
Arimidex can certainly cause nausea…it’s listed as a side effect…and after 20 months of taking it I’ve had a 5 weeks break due to lots of bad side effects including nausea.
I can appreciate that not only is it very unpleasant but it makes it very difficult to manage your diabetes.
Perhaps you should discuss this with your GP again and the diabetic nurse? Maybe if it doesn’t resolve soon you should have some investigations…I’ve just discovered that I have a large gallstone, this certainly could account for quite a lot of my symptoms.
Take care.
Claire
