I have seen somewhere info about people having vitamin D supplements when having rads, suposssed to make it work better, Im not sure if this is just a trial.
Any ideas or info about research greatly appreciated

Hi Dawn - I was already taking Vit D (together with ibandrondic acid to prevent osteoporosis) when I started rads. I had almost no skin damage a all, but I do have a skin than tans easily…
Hi Was prescribed Adcal +D by Onc has soon as I started chemo(Calcium and Vit D) Also had bone scan and dexa scan have osteo arthritis and a little osteoporis , so if it helps ok. Love bobbie
I was prescribed Vit D and calcium to help prevent osteoporosis as I’d opted for ovary removal pre cancer diagnosis. I read that radiotherapy can sometimes cause some bone weakness and wonder if it’s to do with that. I think the weakness is temporary.
