Finty and Elinda haven’t posted on the forum for ages, and I’m worried about them. Any news about would be much appreciated (by pm if preferred).

Thanks so much for thinking of me! I stopped posting around the time the forum changed as I was having so many difficulties with the site - and still am. I’m not really posting or looking much at the site anymore except I did post in the lymphodema section today about something I’d bought which I thought might be helpful for others. That’s why I came across your post today.
I am doing well and have actually started working again this week. The first time in nearly 4 years! I’m also going on holiday abroad next week for the first time in 4 years.
How are you doing? I recall that you were having some problems around the time the site went down so how are things with you now?
Funnily enough I had some contact with Finty just this week - she doesn’t use the site at all anymore.

Thanks Liz. I won’t be posting much. I do miss it in a way - all the lovely people on here - but I felt I needed to move on from keep posting and had been on the forums for ages!

Hi Elinda. Thank you for coming back to reply to Lemongrove’s post as we have been wondering how you and also Finty are. When we do not hear we imagine the worst. I know we shouldn’t but that is the way it is. I miss your posts, both of you, and I think it is such a shame your experiences cannot be shared with the new people coming on to the site. I agree the site has lost something valuable when it decided to change over. I think things are slowly improving but I cannot believe that there were so many serious mistakes on the way. Thanks for your lovely posting. I have alerted Finty to the postings too.
It didn’t occur to me that people might be worried - sorry! I tried to post a few times when the site was changing over and couldn’t. As time passed I stop trying and then made the decision not to be so active on the forums as I had been spending a lot of time on them.
It is good to help others, I agree, but I think I do that now by being one of BCC’s Voices. I do quite a bit for that. I owe BCC so much and it’s nice to give a little back.

Am so pleased to hear you’re doing well after four years. As you know, you’re a bit ahead of me but with similar nodal involvement and it gives me great strength and hope to hear things can go well! I am delighted to hear you’re fine and enjoying life. Well the holiday part of it, but going back to work is good too. I found it really hard to go back to work, but it’s done wonders for my self confidence and just being part of a team that chit-chats about Strictly Come Dancing…
I had wondered too how you were. So good to hear from you. Take care, come back every now and then, if you can? I don’t come here very often either…

Good to hear from you too! Pleased to hear you’re doing well too. It’s now 3.5 years since I finished my treatment and, after finally going into menopause (never did get those ovaries whipped out!) I switched to letrozole. All the brain ‘fog’ I was getting cleared so was the tamoxifen as I suspected. That was 3 months ago and the reason I’ve been able to start work. You’re right, going to back to work is a real confidence builder even if it’s a bit stressful to start with.
Can’t believe I’m going on holiday. It seemed such an impossibility even last year when I was still feeling so rough. It’s literally taken 3.5 years to begin to feel remotely normal again. But, touch wood and everything else, all is well and I’ve actually been signed off from the Onc and now just see the surgeon for my reviews.
