Hello
I’ve just been diagnosed with DCIS at the Homerton, and I"m waiting to see the consultant again Friday to discuss treatment options. I wondered if there’s anyone out there who’s attending the Homerton or who lives in East / North london.
Sorry not me, but surely somebody else…

Hello Andie, oops have only just seen your reply. I can’t seem to get the hang of how the forum works and keep missing posts. I’ve still not had my diagnosis confirmed, as they needed another biopsy. Then I got sent for an MRI, but the scanner wasn’t working. I’m going to see the consultant this afternoon and they’ve promised me that I will have the results and a plan. So far the waiting between appointments has been the worst part.
When and where are you having your surgery? Did you need to make a decision right away? I’ve got so many questions, but then I get in there and my mind goes a bit blank. I also worry about taking up too much of their time, when there are others waiting. Its daft, but hard to shake off those feelings.

Hi there girls,
I live in Bow, I was diagnosed 26th October, am currently going through chemo with surgery (hoping for just lumpectomy) end of March ish
Im not attending the Homerton, but would love to meet up with you girls who live locally for a coffee and a chat?

Cheers
Lyns
Hello Lyns
I don’t know about the forum on 2 March, where is it? I’d be interested in going, by then I should know what else is in store for me. I’m going to a Diet & Fitness info session next Tuesday at Great Suffolk Street. I thought it would be something else to get me out and about.
Hi Panacea
There’s information about the younger women’s forums here Search Results | Breast Cancer Now - there is one in London on 2 March.

I live in East London. I was diagnosed in November (will never forget that day!)… I had a mastectomy and reconstruction in December and have had 2 cycles of FEC 3rd one is due on Monday…
The plan from my oncologist is: 4 FEC, 12 TAX alongside Herceptine followed by Radiotherapy.

Hello Melissa
It would be great to meet up. I live in E5, but willing to travel! At the moment I’m just waiting for my results following WLE and ANC on 7 Feb. My orignal diagnosis was DCIS but then lymph biopsy was positive. I won’t know until the 26th exactly what is on the cards, but I’m expecting radioherapy and possibly chemo.
How is the chemo going for you? Where are you having it?
