Hi ladies,
I just wanted to put a post on here for anyone living in Stirling/Falkirk or surrounding areas who could use a little bit of support, whether you’ve just been newly diagnosed, or are going through treatment or have finished. There is a group of fabby ladies that regularly meet up in Glasgow (you might have seen the posts) for lunch, drinks, chat and many laughs. It is called the GABBIES (Glasgow and Ayrshire Breast Buddies) and has ladies of different ages, mostly around 40, and different stages of treatment. We also have a facebook page where we keep in contact, ask questions and give advice (all private so no-one but us can see posts).
I joined the group as there wasn’t anything really happening in my local area (I live in Stirling), especially for younger women, and have found it really great to talk to people who are going through similar things. Although I have now finished treatment I still attend as I have met some lovely people and have a really nice time meeting up with them all.
If anyone thinks it would benefit them and would be interested in coming to one of the lunches or would like to join our facebook page, just send me a message.

I live in Stirling, in my fourties and in the past 18 months had treatment and major surgery for triple negative cancer. I would like very much to come to one of the lunches etc. Xx
