Anyone know the stats on recurrence in first 2 years on trip Hi,

Just a quick question? Finished all tretment last Friday for 2cm grade 3 triple neg tumour. No lymph nodes involved. They tell me it is more likely to reoccur within first 2 years if at all. Does anyone know stats on this at all? Have already posted a topic on here about when to start a family and i have to take the stats into consideration when looking at my options.
For those that replied thanks alot for your feedback- such a hard decision to make. I want a baby so much but like my onc said it would be an emotional disaster should it come back when im pregnant.

Cheers

Luan

stats on recurrence they seem to vary quite a lot by the stage at which you were diagnosed. Why not ask your oncologist. I’m sure I’ve seen a graph somewhere showing the recurrence rates. There is meant to be a peak at 2 years or so after diagnosis (if you had mastectomy) and at 5 years. Breast conservation recurrences are more steady. That’s recurrence in the breast rather than distant spread. At least that’s what I can remember.

All the charts I read said that the stats have to be treated with caution as modern treatments are lowering death rates and making the time from diagnosis to recurrence longer. The stats include women diagnosed years ago when treatments weren’t as good.
