Hello
im recovering from a lumpectomy and removal of my lymoh nodes. After much debate about the importance of having the nodes out, because I really didnt want them touched unless it was absolutely necessary, I was convinced by the medical team to go ahead with the surgery.
I found out two days ago that there was no cancer in my lymph nodes at all and that they “got it wrong on this one”. I want to make an official complaint and sue. Has anyone had an experience of this? I’m so upset, more so than the original diagnosis.

I’m sueing my local health authority as I was given the all clear 14 months ago, and got a recall back in April. The radiologist has gone before the GMC and struck off, the hospital have admitted all failures ( think it making the national press and TV helped ) Its not all about the money, but at the moment both me and my hubbie have cancer ( me breast cancer and him malignant melanoma for the second time ) so things very very tight,. By them admitting the failure this is spreeding up the claim. I’d rather have my health back. . Had surgery just had my last chemo today and the radiotherapy
Hi everyone, I’m a newbie! My cancer was missed on a mammogram only 14 months before my diagnosis. I had two tumours, one 25mm and another of 8mm. The cancer had spread to 20 of the 22 lymph nodes removed with metastases to my spine. A nurse friend of mine has suggested I sue for clinical negligence because when my surgeon looked at the earlier mammogram he could see the cancer. I have mixed feelings about it - it won’t change my diagnosis or prognosis - and wondered if people here have any thoughts. I know we aren’t ‘experts’ but all have valuable experience.
I live in Cyprus and had a mamogram and an ultra sound recommended by doctor. The specialist sent me away saying it was an infection and sent me back to doctor for a strong 2 week course of anti biotics. He patted me on the shoulder and said I would be alright it would clear!
A month later I knew something was not right, mamogram had had an ill effect on invasive cancer and I wa ssent to th island’s top ongolist who as soon as he examined me, even before the biopsy said why wasn’t this picked up before??? !!!
