Hi Biggles,
I have just finished rads at Addenbrookes. Sorry to have missed you. Really happy to chat and compare notes. When do you start?
Good luck.
Love, Sue

Hi Sue, thanks for the mail. I start rads next thurs 28th Nov will finish on 16th Dec. Where have you travelled from - i am going to find it difficult getting someone to come with me on occassions would this be a problem? I have heard you get quite tired in the last week? Any advise would be gratefully received - have started lathering up on the AC!! So have you finished all treatment now? Have you been to the Wallace Center i am thinking of doing one of their LGFB courses in the new year! Look forward to hearing from you. take care Karen xx

Hi Karen, great to hear from you!
I live about 30 mins south of Cambridge: how about you? Do you know when your appointment times are yet? Would be happy to keep you company if I can.
It’s funny you mentioned Wallis Cancer Care- I was there today!I haven’t done their LGFB session but I did do the one in Addenbrookes which was really good.
Yes, I have finished my treatment, apart from tamoxifen but am feeling a bit flat and very tired - not the relief I was expecting. Trying to rest as much as I can: hopefully that will help. How are you feeling at the moment? Like you, I’ve been using the AC and think it did help. The radiographers suggested doing the stretching exercises we are given post op, like walking your fingers up the wall, pretending to brush your hair (not sure I can remember how!)to stop things getting tight and to make it easier to get your arms in the right position. Will let you know if I think of anything else that might help.
Take care, love,
Sue

Hi Karen

Also happy to keep you company if I can. My rads won’t start until Feb I don’t think.

PM me if you like.

Hi Sue and Jayney thanks for the posts! All kicks off next week and you never know i may take you up on the offers - the times are all over the place, first few are at noon, then they are in the afternoon for a few days then some are at 6pm and then some are first thing in the morning i swear i will not know my head from my elbow by the end of it all. The schools think i am a bit of a nut case as i am already sorting out school concert dates and times and pre-booking tickets as i know will forget - is there such a thing as ‘radio-brain’ as well as ‘chemo-brain’!! The Big ‘C’ makes you organised if nothing else! Jayney i have decided i am def doing the LGFB in January i think it will be a good new year pressie to myself and because i will have all operations out of the way it will not seem to bad going back for something else. Love to you both - Karen xx
