Had WLA and Level 3 clearance of my lymph nodes 2 years ago. Chemo and rads and Arimidex & no trouble since.
Have very recently had a successful partial shoulder replacement on my ‘good’ shoulder (for arthritis)
I would very much like to have the same op on my other shoulder on my BC side. I have very mild lymphoedema on my BC breast and am being monitored at an excellent hospice lympho clinic every 3 months. ( I was referred by my onc after an acute attack of cellulitis in my BC arm, caused by an infected finger nail after Tax).
My arthritis is quite bad and I would like to risk a 2nd op - but would welcome anyone else’s input or experiences. I’m due for routine appointments with the orthopaedic surgeon, lympho nurse and oncologist within the next 2 months but fear the experts will all say that the decision is up to me.
I had serious bruising from the top of my arm to below my elbow and some bruising on my breast after my current shoulder op - how would similar bruising on my BC side impact on my lymphatic system?
Any comments would be useful
