All the best to both of you and I truly hope to be reading about two positive outcomes in the next couple of weeks. It’s a terrible situation to find yourself in art any age, but my goodness, it must be so hard at the tender age of 25. Big hugs x x Ann x x
Lexilou3 your were helpful
will update Monday xx
Thinking of you Macdon90 let us know how you get on. Hugs xxx
Thank you SusieS, my scan went well. The large lump is infact muscle so I’m not 100% sure if anything has to be done about it yet but I’m very relieved! It’s a shame that you have to wait so long for these appointments but definitely best to get checked. Good luck to you all xxx
That’s great news!! I’m so pleased for you! I’m getting nervous for Wednesday but will remain positive after hearing your result!!! Xxx
Not long to wait now, will be thinking of you. Will check back hoping to hear another positive outcome X
Thanks honey xxx
So glad for you that all went well with your scan macdon. That’s one down and one to go. Got everything crossed that your outcome will be the same Suzie x x
Thanks Weeannie I’ll let you all know as soon as I’m out xxx
Hope you get all the tests needed today and a positive outcome SuzieS xx
Hi girlies, my appointment was at 10.10am and I’m not long home (after stopping at Asda for wine lol) I got a mammogram & an ultrasound, the radiologist found another lump in my right breast. I’ve had 2 biopsies in each breast & she’s hopeful they are fibroadenomas however one has a shadow and is presenting itself different on the ultrasound. I looked and my notes & saw something about calcification in one breast? The doctor is positive they are benign but can’t say 100% until biopsies are back. I’m feeling very positive and feel for ever woman going through this…hugs xxx
I’m so glad you had everything done today, and even though you’ve got a little more waiting for results it does sound promising! Big big hugs!! xx
Thanks girlies!! Feeling pretty sore now and a bit of bleeding, kinda hitting home what happened today, no matter what I’m staying on the forum to help other woman waiting on appointments & results. Thank you for being there xxx
They don’t normally tell you that things look benign unless the are more or less sure. The waiting continues but it looks incredibly positive. Hope you hear soon from the biopsies to put your mind at rest for definite. X x
I’m a newbie here but have been reading the helpful and supportive posts on the forum. I had my call back appointment at the breast clinic today, spending 1½ hours at there, after having my second routine scan. (I’m 53) I had three more mammograms and then saw the consultant radiologist, who also did the ultrasound. I have a ‘mass’ (lump, in my language!) measuring about 6 - 10mm. I had a needle core biopsy which wasn’t that bad, it’s a bit sore now the local has worn off though! They were happy with the quality of the sample they had got, and they hope the have the results by Monday, but summer holidays may mean it could take longer, I understand that but really hope not, as the waiting has been so awful, I have had a few meltdowns but got by with support from my family. As long as they have the results to discuss on Monday, I will be able to keep my appointment they have made for next Tuesday. I asked her (the radiologist) if she had a gut feeling about it and she said she tried to be honest with people but in my case she just couldn’t tell. They said it was small and had been caught early, and she couldn’t see anything under the arms in the lymph area, so were quite positive. Everyone in the hospital unit were really lovely, carefully explaining everything, taking time and encouraging me to ask any questions. I feel I bit better, but until I know what they find out about the lump, I will still be quite worried but I guess it could have been worse. I just want answers quickly as I am filling in the gaps with all sorts of scenarios, none of which go well…why can’t I be more positive?!
Hi A.Faed,
The waiting is tortuous, so please don’t be hard on yourself. Hopefully, the results will reveal nothing more than a fibroadenoma or a lipoma. I can remember thinking I wasn’t going to make it to the end of the week and was as miserable as sin!! It’s perfectly normal to feel this way. Come back and tell us how you get on and I truly hope I can be first to say how happy I am that you’ve been told it’s nothing to worry about. Take care and be kind to yourself. Ann x x x
I agree with everything Ann said, and hope you come back and let us know it’s nothing to worry about A.Faed.
SusieS when do you get your results? Been thinking of you!
I’ve got my next appointment at breast clinic on 3rd September x

Thank you so much Ann and Macdon for your encouraging words, I do feel silly about being so pessimistic, especially at this stage! I will definitely let you know how I get on, hopefully it will be the 11th but I will report back, whenever and whatever they say. It’s a whole new felling of uncertainty that I have not really experienced before, I’m usually the one organising and doing things and now my husband and my youngest two of my four daughters who live with us (they’re 23 & 20) are rallying round and propping me up! I haven’t told my eldest two yet as they are having a surprise get together for one of their birthdays next weekend and I don’t want to put a damper on it…anyway, there is nothing much I can tell them yet! How are you finding the waiting Macdon? Have you any idea what they are intending to do at your next appointment? Amanda x
Thank you Lucy, I am so glad I found this great website and forum, it has truly been a wonderful site to have found! I was working myself into such a state and then getting more upset about being worked up, too! Reading the comments from all the lovely ladies is so helpful, just to know other people were feeling the same seemed to take the pressure off. I also learnt quite a lot of what to expect during the first appointment which helped tremendously as well.
I might well be on to your help line once I have got some results, it is so good to know you’re there, it’s like having a safety net!
Thank you again,
Amanda
