Hi everyone, I found a lump in my left breast 5 weeks ago (on the first day of a three week holiday), but before this I had aching in my armpit and breast. I went to the GP the day after I got home and she has referred me to the Breast Clinic where I am going on Friday to have an ultrasound and biopsy.
My Question is regarding any other symptoms. I have a slight discolouration on my breast over the area where the lump is (a sort of pinky colour). I have also been suffering with nausea and dizziness and at the moment have flu like symptoms and a chesty cough. Did anybody else have symptoms similar to these?

hey, its good your going to the clinic friday, good luck with that hope it goes ok. i also got a discoloured circle over the area where i think theres a slight lump, but dont know what it is im afraid. i suspect the flu like syptoms and dizzyness is unrelated.

There is a rare form of cancer called inflammatory breast cancer - someone else started a thread about it in this section recently…
I was diagnosed with it last May and the first thing i noticed was that my breast had turned pink - in my case it was the whole breast - but i know it is possible for it to be a smaller area to start with…
Did the pink area appear first? Or is could it be a result of you poking and prodding the lump during the holiday?
There is another thread on here where people have been asking if anyone had previous symptoms and lots of us are saying we kept feeling dizzy and tired… (This is for all types of breast cancer - not just IBC…)
I hope you are able to find out what is happening on Friday…
