Are these signs of breast cancer ??

Dear All

I am 29 and married with 3 wonderful children (7, 3 & 2) !
A few months back my husbad pointed out that I had a inverted nipple (right one) , to be honest I never really gave it a second thought until last week, I had a leeky discharge !.

After reading some info on breast cancer this was one of the signs, now I am really worried, any advice woould be appreciated.

I know I should make an appointment with GP but always feel like I am wasting their time(hate visting docs).

you are not wasting their time, its what they get paid for, you really must go to the GP and get ref to breast clinic,

9 out of 10 problems are nothing but at least it will put your mind at rest

I think that you should make that appointment, there are a few things that can cause nipple discharge and yes cancer is one of them, it doesnt mean that yours is but you need to be checked out anyway. I am being checked for nipple discharge and the consultant told me that a few things can cause it.

I am the same about the docs, my doc said that it was nice to meet me as I hadnt been to see him for about 5 years (he was being sarky) he wont think you are wasting his time, these things need to be checked out as soon as possible. He should send you to the breast clinic and you should get an appointment within 2 weeks so dont panic, its the norm.

I do know how you feel when you are unsure if you should bother the gp with your symptoms, but like you I took the advice from all of the amazing ladies here and did just that. I have an appointment at the breast clinic on friday. Please go to your gp as you will only sit and worry and your gp really won’t think you are a hypo. Good luck

Dear All

Just to say a huge thank you for all your kind words and advice. I went to see MY GP this morning and your right he was very pleased that I had gone to see him. I am being refered to the Breast Clinic and should hopefully get an appointment in the next 2 weeks. He told me not to worry as it could be nothing !

Yes and no. I could be a sign of bc or something else is the discharge on one side or both? The sooner you go to the doctor the better. Probably nothing to worry about. Goodluck.
