Breast Cancer Care is about to embark on one of it’s most important and far reaching pieces of research. We want to take a fresh look at the service needs of people affected by breast cancer.
As part of the project we are holding a workshop at our central offices in Great Suffolk Street, London on 28 July from 10am until 4pm. The workshop will be a chance for those affected by breast cancer to talk about their experiences and create ideas for future support services in a friendly and supportive environment. This will be followed by a similar event six weeks later again at our London offices on 1 September from 10am until 4pm.
We are looking for women personally affected by breast cancer who would like to take part in the workshops. The workshops will look at services for people with primary and secondary breast cancer - we need more women with seconday breast cancer to attend.
Unfortunately we cannot include people who currently volunteer for Breast Cancer Care in the workshops.
You will need to be available to attend both sessions. All travel expenses will be paid and overnight accommodation will be provided, if needed, for those travelling in from outside of London. We particularly want to make sure we have people from around the UK.
You will also receive £150 to thank you for your time.
We would like to ensure that a good mix of people affected by breast cancer attend the workshops in terms of age and other demographics so we would like you to register with an expression of interest in the first instance.
