Are you on Letrozole? Please take part in this

That’s interesting that you think taking it at night might be better for fatigue. I’ve been grimly sticking to the same routine of taking it in the morning with a mug of green tea not daring to change but I might give the evening a go to see if it makes any difference. I’ve got to the stage where I’ll try anything. I’ve been on Accord for two years so have no experience of other brands.

I’ve consistently taken it at night so can’t comment on that part but after a few not too awful months on Accord I was given a different brand & within a week I had the most awful insomnia, hot sweats returned with a vengeance, I was exhausted & felt truly awful. Thankfully my pharmacy was able to place another Accord order & I’ve done my best to explain to them that this needs to be my standard going forward-not convinced they’ll always be able to do it but that 10 days was enough for me to say I can’t take this a second longer. So for me it seems yes the brand does make a difference & I can’t explain that!

I put off starting Letrozole until after my holiday as I had read a lot of scare stories and wanted just to enjoy feeling normal again after dreadful chemo and easy surgery. Started on Sept 4th. So far, so good I think. Get odd flashes of clamminess - mostly afternoons and evenings. At night sometimes have to kick off my covers but not really unusual. Only lasts a few minutes. Right knee sometimes feels stiff and heavy but nothing like it was on chemo. Feel a bit sleeper in the evenings than normal but have also started radiotherapy this week. (I had my wide excision surgeryin April after 6 rounds of chemo. )Haven’t put on weight but struggling to lose the weight I gained on holiday. I take my pill around midnight. ( Mostly go to bed around 1 am) Hopefully the side effects won’t get any worse as I was really dreading taking the Letrozole after reading other people’s reactions. Similarly, so far, no side effects from the radiotherapy which I was also dreading. Fingers crossed normal life can continue. Just to add, I had mild side effects from first zoledronic acid infusion also on 4 Sept. (Very sleepy the next day and a few bouts of shivering). 3 more doses of trastuzumab to go . So if anyone out there is facing these treatments and worrying as I was, just give them a try. They may not be as bad as you feared. Hope I am not speaking too soon but as I said so far so good
