I have been taking Arimidex for the last 5 years and taken the last tablet 4 days ago. How long does it take for all of the side effects to go away? Aching bones, fatigue, hot flushes, night sweats etc etc.
My ONC told me that the effects of the Arimidex will stay with me for life but cannot find any information on how?
Do you have any answers please?
Can’t really help you with answers because I’ve only just started taking it ,but I have noticed my already arthritic hips are getting worse and other joints have joined in as well I was hoping it would go back to what it was when it stops so if you do find anything out please will you let me know so I can be prepared .

I finished taking Arimidex a couple of years ago after being on it for 6 years. The hot flushes and night sweats stopped after a few months, but the aching bones and joints and fatigue are continuing. Also, my osteoporosis has not improved at all - contrary to what I had hoped. Not sure if you’ll find this post helpful, because everyone reacts to the medication slightly differently. I expect you’ve had your own experience since you posted in May.
