Hi All
hope you are all ok? Still feeling as fine as can be expectedafter chemo on Tuesday. All pills stop today so see if any reaction, if feel sick will go back to taking them. I’m on TACT2 group 4 accelerated, so will start process again first week of June if all goes to plan. Only major hickup has been headaches, realy nasty ones, any one else had these, I have been told this is called ‘chemo brain’! which is nice, I am not as co-ordinated as I was and find myself going to do things then not knowing what I was doing. Maybe I was like this before, but just ignored it. Have hot flushes and ‘shakes’ now and then. ARMPITS!! have been advised to only shave under arms with electric razor, something I never used before. The pain is excrutiating and I suffer with a nasty rash for days, any ides ladies?
Hope you are all doing as well as can be expected.
Take care
Lynn
just to say I’m glad i read this as I have ben using a blade razor - no -one tells me naything over here!
I appear to have survived in tact - thanks again - FB XX
I was told to use electric razors but because of risk of lymphodema from the op, didn’t know about the chemo risk.
I’ve decided I’ll just wait for that hair to drop out instead
Hi All
I too was adv not to shave with a blade under the poorly side. Good job really as I cant feel anything I would have cut myself to ribbons. I decided to wait until the chemo made it fall out but what do you know --------- It fell out of the armpit that i could shave & not the other !. Typical !!
Not too keen on the electric razors but not sure what else to use - as I cant feel anything if a cream was stinging me I wouldnt be aware so thats out too. I am now hoping that the rads will kill the stuff off once & for all.
If I was you I would perhaps ask the BN if she has any other suggestions.
PS I am on TACT2 arm 3 & I too am unco-ordinated & have the odd hot flush, also cant concentrate for a minute. Still I have just accepted it and it will get better once the drugs have stopped I am sure . So for now I am just bumbling about
Take care

Hi ladies
thanks for all your replies about the underarm dilema. Although I was aware that using the electric razor would be as painful as it was before, in my befuddled state I decided to go ahead anyway but still do both arms! Anyone who was undergoing some sort of change within the brain would at least save one arm, wouldnt they? There are times when I just seem to stare into rooms and dont have a clue what I went in there for, and the spellcheck on the computer has all but given up! Today, I spring cleaned the whole of the house, babysat and did the monthly shop, I havnt been that active for weeks, thank God for steroids, but today is last day till next time so will be lucky to get out of bed tomorrow!
Take care ladies
Have a good night
Lynn xx
