Ooop chemo brain, repeating myself in posts, d’oh
Having a real blue day today - crappy English summer not helping, must admit!
Had a little cry even, as I feel I can’t do anything at the moment!
Who’d have thought that leaning over to pick up your handbag was something not to be taken for granted?!
Add to the frustrating mix the fact that my nipple is very, very tender and sore…brushed my bath towel off it after my shower and yelped!
But, after a long conversation with my GP, I got all my questions answered!
At least, all the “Why more surgery…?” ones!
So, I’ve reinstated Monday’s op…erk!!!..at 1pm. It’s a day case this time, which is MUCH better.
But now I’m fed up of being ‘brave’ and want to act like your 2 yr old, Lisa, and fling all my toys not so much out of the pram, but out the window and in to the street!
Although I suspect he/she isn’t quite so immature…xXxXxXx
Awww babes, we all have them so just go with it and let it go.
My 2 year old told me to go to sleep the other day and the proceeded to fire a birck off my head.
Good luck for Monday babes, will be thinking about you, just try to enjoy the weekend as best you can.
Second time round is no where near as bad.
Love and hugs
Lisa

Hi Vournie,
Just logged on for thefirst time in a while and couldnt resist reading your post…fab title.
I was diagniosed 24th Dec 39 (now 40 two weeks ago!!!) no children grade 2 no nodes involved er+/pr+ and had a WLE and SNB in Jan,had radiotherapy in Feb/March and went back to work 1st April so completely understand the whirlwind issue. I am now on tamoxifen and monthly zoladex injections so my main daily activity is how to cooldown the hot flushes!!!
I have only read two books since DX one was called “dirty sexy cancer” (there is a web site) and “cancer vixen” a book written in cartoon format by a cartoonist who had breast cancer, its kind of sex in the city meets BC but is so exactly how I found the whole thing and helped me realise I wasnt going mad on my own.
I just wanted to say good luck with everything. Love Shonagh x
Shonagh - just found Cancer Vixen online…AMAZING!!! Love it! You’re brilliant!
My little sister thinks it should be “angry as a bag of camels…” as everyone knows they’re far angrier a creature!
Lisa - hope that was a fisher price brick?! Little squirt…!
Thank you for your good wishes and your time…will keep you posted about the results!!
Nicola, Nicole and Ruby…let me know if you’re around end of next wk, or maybe next wkend for that coffee?!
Would be good for us all to vent!
(Not sure how to do the private message thang…onlineophobe that I am!)
Lots of love…xXxXx

Hi there
Just got back after a few days working away and read your last posting. I actually bought and read the Cancer Vixen book a few months ago. I enjoyed reading it, but probably won’t read it again so I’d be pleased to hand it over to you!
I’m busy with work for about the next 10 days, but could definitely meet after that. I’m really not sure how to do the whole Private Mesage thing, but I’ll give it a go and we’ll organise something.
