Awaiting tests for a neck lump. Advice to stop the inner panic please

Hi,
2 weeks ago i found a lump in my neck just above my collar bone. its tiny. so tiny that the oncologist (who i luckily had an appointment to see 3 days later) said its “too small to stick a needle in”. I’m having a CT scan in a couple of weeks (its been nearly a year since diagnosis so this is normal apparently) and have to see my oncologist a week later so she can review it (not normal - usually see breast care nurse for results so taking it seriously). I was hoping she would tell me not to be silly and stop worrying - or say “i’m sure its nothing but just to be sure…” but she didn’t.
Being logical - it shouldnt be a recurrence - coz i only finished chemo five months ago and have been taking tamoxifen ever since.
If anyone has dealt with this waiting game - whether the result was postive or not - please tell me how you got through it.
thanks
