I have had a lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy,two ouf seven nodes were cancerous.Now am listed for axillary clearance.Is there anyone out there that has refused this treament?

Hi jemmgavs, I had 4 nodes removed and the 1st sentinel node had a micro met but the other 3 were clear. My surgeon didn’t see any benefit of me having a clearance as last 3 nodes clear and I’m also having chemo, rads and tamoxifen. I’d speak with your surgeon to see exactly what your options are and the benefits. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Tracy XXX
