Back again ...

I am once again turning to you wonderful people for support.

Two and a half years ago I found a lump, all the tests followed - inconclusive. Eventually had surgery and it turned out to be a lipoma - all good.

In the last year my mother and sister have had BC.

Now I have problems again, in the last week I have had bloody vaginal discharges and now for the last two days a watery discharge from the nipple (same side). Just been to the docs and I need two referrals for these = gynae (my aunt died very young of cervical cancer) & breast clinic (2 week thing).

So, here I go again. I am also turning to you people because I have not told anyone. I have had to resign my job recently in order to whistleblow a superior and (although I should have work eventually) am now unemployed while I go through the legal stuff. My husband is already mega stressy about money and my work prospects - if I tell him about these things he will go all doom and gloom. So I don’t feel I can burden him.

Can I burden you please?
x

Dear Jane

What stress you’re under and how upsetting. Waiting and worrying is just so tough. Please don’t even think that you’re burdening anybody, that’s what this site is about. I’m sure you’ll get many other ladies reading your post who will reply and give you the support you deserve. Thinking of you and sending hugs in the meantime.

Jane
Download your stress and worries as much as you need to - tough time for you - you need to look after yourself.
This site is great - there is always someone there - ask questions, there is such a wealth of knowledge.

Don’t let your imagination run away with you (I know that is easier to say than do!) - take everything a step at a time. There are lots of different reasons for your symptoms, not just the worst case scenarios. And, if it does turn out to be something that needs sorting out - you are in the system, the sooner you know, the sooner you can crack on deal with it.

Take care, keep in touch,
Lizzie X

Hi Jane

I’m so sorry you’ve got new worries and can only wish you all the best.

As for burdening (you’re not!), you’re sharing your concerns with us and we’re all here to listen and support if we can so ‘offload’ whenever you need to.

Lots of love. Cathy x

Thanks very much for the replies.

I told my husband tonight as the moment seemed right!?! He seems OK with it at the moment (he is the negative one in the relationship - his glass isn’t half full - he’s probably got the wrong bloody glass!)

I have got my appointment for a week on Monday - back to Northampton. Wasn’t thrilled with their communication last time but the care seemed ok - which is probably the important thing. I had the choice between that and Coventry - how does one know how to choose?

Have a good weekend everyone = sun is supposed to make an appearance!!!
