Back to work Tues but still got 2 lumps

Hi everyon

Thank you to you all for your support when I needed it recently before I had my lump removed from my left breast which was luckily benign.

I still have a small bit on my wound that is refusing to heal properly, so have to put anti-biotic cream on and dressings. Still a bit tender if I catch it too.

I see my consultant again a week on Thursday so will ask him to check the other two lumps I have found nearer my underarm area on the left breast.

I am trying to think that they are probably benign too as the one taken out 3 weeks ago was and one that was removed from my right breast a few years ago was, but can’t help worrying a little.

Is it possible to have benign and cancerous lumps in the breast at the same time? Silly question I know, but some of you may be able to advise.

Take care of yourselves everyone.

Julie

Hi Julie

I think it is possible to have both in the same breast, hopefully that will not be the case for you. Its good that you have an appointment with your consultant you can get him to check them out for you.

Good luck with your appointment let us know wont you.

Hi Julie

Do you think the lumps could be enlarged lymph nodes because of the infection in the orginal wound? Are they really tender when you touch them

Hi

I found the lumps after I saw my consultant before Christmas. I told him about them when I briefly saw him just before my op and he said he would look at them at my follow up appt. I don’t think he had time then as they thought I was having a local when in fact it was a general.

Trying not to worry too much but will be glad when I see him again. Isn’t helping that my boss has resigned so when I go back to work tomorrow I won’t be sure when they will be getting cover in so I could be running round like a headless chicken!

Thanks for your support ladies, will let you know what happens. I am here if you need me too.

Julie

awww Julie, you poor thing I really sympathise with you. How horrible to have to go through all the worry etc. all over again. I will keep my fingers crossed for you that everything is ok.

On the plus side with your boss resigning, you will probably be so busy you won’t have too much spare time to “worry”. I always find my worrying is at its worst when I have little to do.

All the best and fingers crossed.
