Bandanas are fantastic - and they stay put. I too have a ‘buff’ - but tend to wear that round the house as its softer. I also have a wig and had it cut the other day - looks very like my ‘old’ hair used to look but I cant see myself wearing it - think I would be far more self conscious in the wig than the bandanas (which I never thought I would hear myself saying).
My hair has been shedding like crazy over the last five days, getting very near the stage when i will have to do something brave!!! Everyone sounds so positive, it really does help.
When I am feeling a bit down I remind myself that loosing hair is a positive thing, it means hopefully all the chemo cocktails are doing what they are supposed to be doing!!!
Yes, I can reassure you too - bandana’s do stay on. I ordered mine on line from thebandanashop. They have a great selection, very reasonably priced, and always arrive the next day. I also bought a wig, but have never worn it, prefererring my bandanas instead.
Kim - you’re right - look on it as a positive thing as it does mean the chemo is doing it’s job. Yes, it’s hard at first, but you get used to it I promise !
Hi Lynne, Ive just ordered some bandanas from a site called bandanasrus, they are really nice designs. Paula the girl who runs it is a fellow forum member and has just set up her own business. She has a site, but its still under construction but so I ordered from ebay as they are all on there under the same name. They are handmade and she will embroider them to your liking. Hope this helps.
Love
