Baths while on rads??

Has anyone else been advised not to have a bath while having rads? I’ve been told only to shower, but am not happy about this as I love my evening bubble baths with a glass of wine :slight_smile: Please somebody tell me that bathing isn’t a problem!!

I’m starting rads on 24th. I’ve been told to only shower and not to use soap. Bubble bath is the problem as it could irritate the skin. Also I have been advised to use tepid water on the area being radiated as hot water could irritate it as well, that is easier under the shower than in the bath. Its going to be a long 5 weeks with no hot soak in the bath.

I wasn’t told not to, so I had baths regularly during rads,its my way of relaxing too Caro.I put a litle Simple shower gel in the bath.I was told I could use the shower gel so I am sure its OK to put in the bath.

I had baths whilst having rads but just missed out on the bubbles!!! i was told only to use simple soap, didnt think about the shower gel they make!!

i had baths no bubbles, im allergice to simple soap so i used an E45 liguid wash got it from asda

I’ve been having baths with the Simple shower gel for bubbles, had 12 treatments and it all seems ok!

Hello. I was told to use only Simple soap - not even their shower gel as it contains some additives which may irritate the skin. However,I did bath twice a day while I was having rads using just Simple soap.

Caro, I’ve been having baths too, with no bubbles and using simple soap. I’ve done 12 now and all ok.

Thanks for all your comments ladies, it’s reassuring to know that many of you have been bathing with no problems! The Simple gel for bubbles is a great idea :slight_smile: xx
