Breast Cancer Care

Hello everyone,
A while ago I was involved in a debate on the BBC about Government spending (won’t go into it) and as a result have been contacted today by someone who is looking for people who have been originally treated as non-urgent or who may have been misdiagnosed. I have been treated very well but from being on the forums I sadly know that there are many of you out there and if you would be willing to discuss your experience please read on. This is the email I received today -

I work for Radio FiveLive’s breakfast programme, I am looking at a story about breast cancer for our breakfast show tomorrow which is critical of the way the current referral system operates. I understand that you contacted the BBC earlier this year and mentioned that you had breast cancer, and am interested to find out whether you were initially treated as an urgent or non-urgent case?

I look forward to hearing from you,
Best wishes,
Rebecca

This sounds like a great opportunity. I’m hoping SuperSue sees this especially given your recent thread about the carry on at Inverclyde Royal. If anyone fancies doing this contact Rebecca direct on the number above and if you do, please let me know how you get on as I’m going on holiday tomorrow morning.

Carla

I was definately not seen as urgent so will contact Rebecca tomorrow. thnaks for putting this on the thread.

Kate,
I think she needs comments for tomorrows breakfast show so would be good if you are able to contact her now.

Moderator Joe - Why did you remove and then repost my thread???

Carla

Hi Carla

We had to repost your message as a technical fault on the site meant it was not displaying properly.

Best wishes
