beautiful gesture from an unexpected source

My daughter met her husband 6 years ago and he had a little girl Keeley who was 4 and they have now been married 2 years and this wonderful grandaughter of mine is now 10. Since getting married my daughter has been trying for a baby and had no success and has been told that moving forward her only option is IVF so this little girl is so very important to us all. My daughter rang K’s mom to tell her that they will be telling her of my condition in a couple of weeks (at the moment my daughter and son in law are on their  way to Thailand for a 2 week holiday) but wanted her to know as obviously a 10 year old has some understanding of the word cancer and she may be upset.

Today i recieved the beautiful flowers and balloon pictured below from my K’s mom (on behalf of Keeley) though at the moment she thinks they have been sent just because its a nice thing to do.

They completely took me by surprise and guess what I am crying again xxx

Sue, that’s such a nice gesture and how lovely that your daughter and husband and K’s mum all seem to get on so well and K obviously thinks the world of you! xx

Keeley stays with them every other weekend (even stays with my daughter when her hubby is not home as he is in the military and often on ship) so i get to see her loads what was so touching is I have ony met her mom 3 times when i messgaed her to thankk her she said it is because you are great with Keeley and she always tells me she loves you x

How lovely…that really brought a lump to my throat, especially when you refer to Keeley as “my K”…,…this gesture says a lot about you …they must think the world of you.  Lovely family!!  Wish more families could be like that (mine included ha )…

All the best Sue xxx

Thanks feather x love her loads and blessed she came as part of the package with my son in law xx
