being cold all the time

hi is there anyone the same as me since i have had chemo which as finshed know with 6fec 4 tax suffer with bein cold all the time even when the heating is on i am so cold all so ive started to suffer with panic attacks please let there be someone else cos my family think im goin mad hahaha juliex

Oh yes Julie, my husband calls me ‘gnats blood woman’.

I sit in body warmers in the summer!

Hi Julie

You’re not alone - I’m always cold. My husband wanders about the house in shorts and t-shirt even in winter, while I’m dressed in 25 jumpers and still shivering ! (oh, alright, slight exaggeration there!)

I too have been cold (ok I live in Scotland but thats no excuse). I have the heating on loads so its gonna cost a fortune. Sometimes I am getting sweats tho so think I am a bit menopausal with the chemo too!!! O the joys!!

Hi

I am always cold, but more so now since starting chemo … keep moaning to OH I am cold and he looks at me like I am mad. Sitting here with one daughters blanket around me.

HI

I have been cold since the day they told me I have BC. I think it is shock. But keep warm as it is good for your veins and although no time is a good time to have this bloody disease at least there is a good choice of hats!!!

I was frozen all the way through chemo and I put it down to having absolutely no body hair. I used to sit up on my bed at night in tartan jammies, a fleecy beenie hat and socks, plus a fleecy blanket over me, 2 hot water bottles and the cat for good measure!

We had just started a small business when I was dignosed in Oct last year and I didn’t qualify for any benefits due to a 3 month gap in my NI when I had to give up work to look after my late dad. However, MacMillan Cancer advised us to try for tax credits and we got them on the 3rd attempt. This has meant we now qualify for free cavity wall insulation, so hopefully I will now be cosy. We work from home so need the heating on all day in the winter.

I have had the opposite…I am so warm all the time…I must be the only one walking around Sweden in a short sleeved T-shirt at the moment!
