Bending arm and sleeve

Hi - new sleeve wearer as many of you know - I wear a sleeve with no glove ATM. I have mild lymphoedema and can take it off if I am not doing much (although it has been worse lately since I started taking care of the kids more again).

Thing is - it drives me nuts whenever I am trying to do anything that needs a bent elbow - it digs in and gets uncomfortable. Then I end up taking it off but if I was actually busy using my arm at the time then I guess I should be leaving it on really.

My affected arm is my dominent arm as well unfortuately.

Hi I am a relatively new sleeve wearer as well, although mine is a sleeve and mitten. My understand is that the sleeve should be supportive but not uncomfortable, and should definitely not dig in… You will see from the LD threads that getting a sleeve that is correct can be a case of trial and error. Why don’t you give your LD nurse a ring and ask her to check it for you.
