Big Relief

As I was heading towards my 5th of 6 Chemo sessions I noticed changes in my healthy left breast, I could feel lumps I contacted my Support Nurse and she examined me last Tuesday, she was not overly concerned but the surgeon asked for a Mammogram to be safe.

The fear started to set in despite my Support Nurses reassurance. I had my mammogram this Tuesday and was 95% convinced I had developed cancer in the other breast.

I am so pleased to say that the Mammogram showed no signs of Cancer and follow up Ultrasound today confirmed healthy lymph nodes and glands in the Breast, what a relief!

The changes I can feel are down to the chemo pushing me into the Menopause and the chemo making my breast feel more lumpy. I just wanted to share this as I know it was extremely hard for me to face my fears, but so glad I did for the peace of mind and the strength it has given me to face my 6th chemo session and hope for positive results to get me to surgery.

Good luck to anyone who might be going through the same thing right now, the hardest part is waiting xx

thank you so much for this it was very reassuring as my good side is playing up during chemo. Best of luck for surgery.

Sheba56, glad it helped, had pain in my good breast as well during chemo but any doubts speak to your support nurse :-). Good luck

Just waiting results of my scans and getting nervous again! Fingers crossed x
