Hi, youve probably had this discussion before but its rreally now occupying my mind fullstop
Its daft but after a nightmare 3 wks ago about being tolf i had Ca breast, i checked my boobs to find a lump.
Saw my GP who referred and 10 dsys later had a mammo and USS. Was told i had clusters of cysts which made the views of mammo difficult to see. So cysts were drained to reveal calcification in a fan like shape.
Specimen sent off from cysts as well as 5 samples/core biopsies of the calcification.
Im still waiting results and as result im not sleeping.
Im tryi g to be realistic and not show im worrying to my husband as cant deal with him worrying about me as it makes it that more real.
Ive only told 2 of my best mates and not yet my mum as felt better to wait results before worrying her.
Does anyone know how long results take or have experience…
Im imagining all sorts.

Hello and welcome to the forum where you will get loads of help and support from the wonderful ladies on here.
I think generally it is 1/2 weeks after the biopsies are taken that you will get your results. Did they give you an appointment date when you went for your appointment at the breast clinic?

Was one week at the hospital I was treated at. Probably depends how busy they are re if it takes a little bit longer. Did they give you an appointment for a follow up?
I know it’s worrying but try not to fret too much, at this stage it could turn out to be something other than bc.

No, it was my friend that said will my husband be going with me to get the results. I just thort they’d phone or write.
Ive not been given an appt or anything and consultants PA wasnt helpful at all.
I think night is always worse with mind going into overdrive though lastt night i actually slept… Thank goodness!!
Well they phoned me today and results are benign thank goodnes but they also said i need to go back for tenogram (?) With or without further biopsies.
So i guess if benign now, i doubt they’ll find anything else?

So i had my tenogram yesterday and 10 further biopsies. When i asked tgem why rgey said they were surprised result was benign as it looked highly suspicious.
I should hear next tuesday the results…

Well they phoned with the results today and tho all benign theyre still suspicious as results arent marrying up with the scans…
Ive appt thursday to see consultant.

Well, the consultant said they want to do vacuum biopsy now (1st May) and if result is benign the next step will be surgery to get rid of tge tissue. Consultant said its highly unlikely but its very suspicious of breast cancer and they want to be certain. She mentioned radial scar which presents as cancerous.
Just another couple of weeks to wait now…
