hi All
I thought I would share a bit of good news on my bones.
I have been having an awful lot of aches and pains in last few weeks and experienced a nasty flare up on my left hip to the extent I was losing some mobility, I mentioned it last week, when I went for zometa and was sent away for a bone scan with lots of muttering about my spine and referred pain. Anyway my onc called me and said that bone scan was actually very good and much much better than my last one, and what am experiencing is post chemo aches and pains. Had a lovely fish supper and glass of wine to celebrate.

Great news, Cathy - even if you’ve still got to put up with the aches and pains. Really sounds as if the Taxol and Avastin has worked well for you - long may it last!

Fab news Cathy, dont blame you having glass wine. Lets hope it continues for a very very long time.

I’m really pleased about that - great stuff. On a selfish level I’ve been having terrible pains in my hips - I’m hoping it is arthritis, gone far to far past chemo for it to be anything like that.
I’m really pleased for you Cathy! It is so nice to read good news on this forum. Will join you in the glass of wine, but had the fish and chips (by the sea) at lunch time.

Great news Cathy…Must admit I’ve always found it hard to believe but my Onc has told me healing bones can be painful and I’ve often had a bit of bone pain but then had great tumour marker results shortly afterwards…it happened again this month…x
Congratulations, that’s lovely news. I have been having some stiffness and aches in my hip this week. It’s been 4 1/2 weeks since my final chemo so I hope that is what’s causing my discomfort too.
Cheers!
Linda
Hi Cathy,
really pleased for you, long may it continue.

Hi again
I didn’t want to jinx things when I posted this morning as today is/was ‘R’ day for me. Had results of my CT scan and bone mets stable with signs of healing. This was such a relief as I’ve also been feeling achey and had been convinced they’d spread after I finished chemo last September. Nice to know the hormone tablets are keeping up the good work
What a relief - glass of wine this evening I think!

Thanks everyone…pretty relieved as I was a bit worried,
Oh great Nicky - I am really pleased for you ! You can be in my aches pains and old lady club with me…and this is things getting better!
Cathyx
Congratulations,Cathy! As Debs says, long may it continue.
May I join the achey pain olde lady club too? My bone scan today was also clear despite hip pain. Yay! Surprisingly it has shown some age degeneration on my knees - must be the extra two stone I’m carrying! Shall toast us later on tonight…

I think it could be the stress we are under to keep the gormless thread active. All that shopping! Still someone has to do it.

Sorry meant to say cheers.
Hi Cathy - great to hear your news …so delighted for you , and you too Nicky… jaynex
Debs, I feel so much better knowing it is shopping-induced knee deterioration! Puts a totally different spin on it! Thank you!
