blue nipple

Hello everyone and Happy New Year

Over Christmas I have had a lot of pain just below my right breast (original cancer in left breast), almost underneath it. Am taking lots of tramadol and that numbs the pain.
However, for the last few days I have noticed that the nipple on this right breast is a bluish colour - the other one is pink and looks quite normal.
Has anyone else noticed a bluish nipple and what did it turn out to be? I am getting more worried. I have a routine appointment with onc on Monday. Her secretary rang today and asked if I could change appointment to wed 14 Jan. I said No, I must see her on Monday. She seemed taken aback but agreed to it.

Hi Ena
I had a blue nipple but it was on the breast that I had a lumpectomy if I rubbed it the colour returned. You did the right thing saying you would not have a later appointment. Good luck on Monday hope it is nothing to worry about.

Funny you should mention this but my nipples are different colours as well! But, like Debs, my bluer one is on the side of my lumpectomy so I’m sorry I’m not any more help to you. Good Luck on Monday.
