Yes I too have the relentless fatigue, aches & stiffness especially in the morning & when standing after sitting a little while. A very low mood, just feeling totally flat about everything. Not able to feel excited about anything & getting upset easily. Hair loss, very dry skin & brittle dry nails. Random upset stomach so I always keep some Loperamide with me, just in case.
I’m grateful that when I get my blood results they’ve always been alright. I wish I could have tolerated the 600mg but here we are I managed to stay on the 600mg for about 7 months, which isn’t very long really. Hopefully soon I can have another go at the 600mg as it concerns me I’m not taking the full dose. My mind starts spiralling sometimes worrying that the cancer is spreading further because of the lower dose. I’ve been on Letrozole for a year which comes with similar side effects to the Ribociclib unfortunately.
But as my Clinical Nurse says, I’m in this for the long race & I need to be able to function & live my life each day. Sleeping all the time & feeling rubbish every day wasn’t really the best way forward for me.
Can’t really win, damned if I do, damned if I don’t haha
Hi sorry, correction* I’m currently on my 10th cycle of Ribociclib.
Yes I also have the hot flushes which are worse with the medication but I’ll be 53 this week & been going through the menopause for a few years now. I’ll be glad when that’s passed for sure
I’m in the same boat & will also have to leave for a bit to get blasted. Are you at Bexley too? I only got my radiotherapy dates yesterday & it’s just typical that a session falls on Friday!
Hasmita here, I was diagnosed last June. Had surgery and chemotherapy. Currently, sitting in Leeds waiting for my radiotherapy which I will also be attending tomorrow too. But should be able to make it later on the morning for the weekend session.
