Hello All,

I am Caroline. I am 45 so only just made it into this group. I have 2 children aged 11 and 13. Please excuse my username I made it to join another chat and I am unsure how to change it!

I was diagnosed with IDC in July this year, due to lymph node involvement I had a full clearance and a therapeutic mammoplasty on the 1st of September . The surgery was successful in removing the cancer. I am now currently going through 8 rounds of chemotherapy, followed radiotherapy, followed by hormone therapy as preventative measures. I had round 2 of EC chemo yesterday.

I am really looking forward to meeting you all. xx

Hi I’m Hannah. I turned 40 in the summer but was diagnosed with triple positive IDC grade 3 stage 2 in May 2024 at 38. I had TCHP chemo last summer then lumpectomy and mammoplasty November last year, followed by radiotherapy and 10 cycles of kadcyla this year. I’m now on hormone blockers and bisphosphonates. I actually had a place booked on this course last year but it was the day after my surgery so couldn’t make it. So looking forward to meeting all you lovely lot! X

Hi all, I’m Temi. I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone next week.

This month marks a year since my diagnosis. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 ER+ HER2- breast cancer, just six months after my wedding, which brought a very sudden pause to newly-married life.

I’ve since completed chemotherapy, surgery (a single mastectomy), and radiotherapy. I’ve been on Anastrozole for a few months now and will be starting Abemaciclib soon. I’m also a mum to a gorgeous 10-year-old boy.

Really looking forward to meeting you all next week. :cherry_blossom:

I don’t have any children yet but managed to get some eggs collected just before starting treatment!

Really looking forward to meeting everybody! xx

Hi everyone, :waving_hand:

I’m Lucy now 42, diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer in 2022. Had chemo, Masectemony, Radiotherapy and now on hormone blockers and Zoladex injections! Had a brain MRI Friday to check for brain Mets so a nervous wait now for results! I have suffered terribly with effects of treatment and hormone blockers. Now have chronic back pain and fibromyalgia so my mobility is a bit crap!

Two beautiful daughters aged 7 and 11 and a wonderful supportive husband. Feeling a bit nervous coming away on my own actually :joy:

Really hoping to meet some new friends that I can stay in touch with and those who have been through similar times with their own cancer journeys.

I’m arriving on Thursday evening at hotel so if anyone else going to be there on Thursday that would like to catch up then please let me know!

Really looking forward to meeting everyone!

Xx

Last Dec Mri detected cancer in my left breast, tiny and stage 1 but due to the BRCA1 had a double mastectomy ( 14th feb :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:) and next month having my ovarian tubes removed. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Hi :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I’m Shantina, 41 from Birmingham with two gorgeous boys age 13 and 8. I was diagnosed with triple negative bc with no node involvement feb this year. I’ve had chemo for 6 months and had a LICAP operation 4 weeks ago. I’m awaiting my appt related to radiotherapy and possible meds I may need after. Staying positive and grateful!

Hey everyone,

I’m Becki, 36 years old and was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in July this year. Currently undergoing chemotherapy then will have surgery and radiotherapy. I have an 8 month old boy (he was 4 months when diagnosed) who keeps me busy!

Looking forward to meeting everyone tomorrow xx

Hi. I’m Lucy. 45 now so only just young enough to be here, married with 2 children 10 and 7. Diagnosed at 43 with breast cancer. I had surgery and radiotherapy but onco score too low to deem chemo beneficial. Now almost 2 years into taking Tamoxifen. I was diagnosed with an unrelated rare soft tissue cancer almost immediately after radio so have been in and out of hospital now for 2 years and only just getting my life back on track now. Looking forward to meeting people tomorrow.
