Dear All

While chatting to my oncolcogist on Friday before my final chemo I discovered that they had not done scans to check for brain mets. They have done all the others but don’t do the brain as a matter of course.

Now of course I’m fretting about this, what is everyone elses experience of this? Have you all had brain scans?

Cecilia,

Here in Leicester, you don’t get any scans at all. I had a chest x-ray at dx, and that’s it. I would only get a scan if I presented with symptoms. I would very much like to have had scans, just for peace of mind.

Thanks that is a comfort to me knowing that it is not the norm.

The Tax headaches got me thinking about brain mets… but I should really try not to worry so much!
