brain tumor

Hi
My Wife got the all clear from the breast cancer a few weeks back but in the mean time she then went down with a brain tumor and was told by the neurologist that it was linked to the breast cancer as it is becoming common in women whose breast cancer was estrogen based is this the finding of the breast cancer care team or any of the girls out there?

Hi Doug

So sorry to hear about your wife. I hadn’t heard that it was becoming common for this to happen personally - but other more knowledable ladies on here will be able to say more and there is a very good Helpline to ring for specific questions. You don’t say how old your wife is or how she found her cancer? I have heard of younger ladies (30-40s) who have found their cancer is more likely to spread because of the size or agressiveness of the initial tumour but their are many people on the secondary site who are living with brain mets who I’m sure will be able to reassure you soon as to the treatment & help she will get which is improving all the time.
