Hi all,
Well I never thought I would be back here! :smileysad:
Last week I was diagnosed with breast cancer in the opposite boob - 7 years on from last time.
Im completly freaked out and although im optimistic, I dread the thought of treatment again.
I’m 35 with two beautiful children aged 5 and 7 and have a new man in my life. We met a year and a half ago on match.com and worries he got more than he signed up for!
Hi Charlotte
Sorry to see you back after such a long time. We are all here to support anyway we can and I am sure your new man will support you too. If he needs support he can always go on the Supporting Someone Thread as when reading it a few men have signed up and chatted through some of their worries.
Sending hugs
Hi Charlotte, I’m 32 and waiting results on Thursday but have been given a high chance warning it’s cancer. When you had breast cancer 5 years ago did they not give you the option to have the other breast removed? I’m sorry to hear your having to go through this again, and with such young kids. I have a 5 year old and 3 year old x
Hello, I too have just been diagnosed, in my other breast, after nearly 15 years… Am in shock. The thought of going through all that again… So much has changed so not sure what to expect. Find out Friday, whats what… Great to read through this site.
Ahh Hoarder, im so sorry to hear that you’ve had a recurrence after so long being clear. Yes, i bet you are in shock. All I can say is that in 15 years treatments for breast cancer have just got better and better. You’ll find out your plan on Fri and start your treatment soon. I felt better when a plan was in place. There’s so much support on this site, keep reading and posting as the ladies here are so warm and friendly. Sending you big hugs H xxxx
If he love you he will be there for you and your children wishing you all the very best to you hope your treatment goes well
