Breast cancer following treatment for Hodkins Disease

I was treated for Hodkins Disease in 1884 with radiation. In about 2002/3 I was advised by the hospital that as a result of the treatment i was an increased risk of breast cancer and began regular screening. Sure enough i had a bi lateral mastectomy in 2006. I have just been diagnosed with breast cancer again. The doctors feel hopeful it has not spread. Has anyone else been in this situation? It seems that more radiation is not an option but i feel reluctant to not have any follow up. Does anyone have any advice?

If you have had treatment of Hodgkin disease, there is an increased risk of having cancer 10 to 15 years later after radiation therapy. Breast cancer seems to be the most common risk around women aged 30 or less who have had radiation for Hodgkin.
