Hello, last week i went to the doctor because i had really bad pain in my left breast,this was a week before my period was due, after examining me the doctor said he could feel a large lump, and i have an appointment at the breast clinic on the 19 june, i always have breast pain just not as bad, i also have a patch of skin where the pores look more visible, i still cant feel the lump myself and i cant understand why i cant find it but it reaaly worries me that the doctor said it was large, i didnt ask the doctor much cos i was so frightened by what he said, i,m trying to be calm but its hard to and i just wondered if anyone could help, thankyou

its never easy when people say “don’t worry yourself too much it could be nothing”. I’m sure you have probably looked into it yourself though by now and have read that 9/10 lumps are not cancerous and hormonal lumps and bumps come around the time of your period. It sounds like you have a good Drs there as your app to the clinic has come soon quickly…i think this is just the luck of the draw, some women have had to wait weeks or even months. So at least you know it is being dealt with swiftly as sometimes the trauma of waiting and not knowing is worse than the actual outcome.

I agree entirely with Pixielox, you have a very good Doctor and having such a quick appointment is excellent - some women do have to wait ages to be seen, I guess it can depend on where you live too.
